to one household at a time.

At Moorhouse Dog Boarding we provide a home environment (we do not have kennels), meaning your dog will be the only one staying with us. This means we have VERY limited availability. We have 6 dogs of our own and 3 children so your dog MUST be friendly. 

We are:

· Licensed & rated 4 star by Durham County Council for home from home dog boarding. Licence no: DCC/DHB/133404
· DBS checked
· Fully insured

Ian and Sarah Have over 25 years’ experience owning, training and competing with their dogs and understand how important it is that your pets are relaxed, happy and safe while you are away for the day, weekend or on holiday.

We are able to provide a far nicer experience than placing your dog in kennels by offering a home from home boarding service. Unlike similar establishments we only provide boarding to one household at any given time allowing your dogs exclusive use of our home and our undivided care and attention.

There are 3 steps to booking your dog for their holiday with us:
1 – MEET & GREET – A free initial meeting to ensure that you are happy with the home your dog will be staying in and to meet their family (3 children and 6 dogs). This should only take 10 minutes. 
2 – TEST NIGHT – To ensure your dog is comfortable and settles during the night. Charged at the nightly rate.
3 – CONFIRMATION – Book your stay and pay 25% deposit.

You will leave your dogs knowing they are safe and secure and treated as part of the family. Providing them with a home environment will avoid any anxiety they may experience in boarding kennels. We encourage owners to bring their dogs favourite toys, beds and blankets to help make them feel even more at home.

Step out of our house into a fully enclosed garden, they will also access our dog park and a lovely walk in our orchard daily.
We require all boarded dogs to have a current vaccination certificate completed at least 4 weeks prior to the start of boarding, or in accordance with manufacturer instructions. This must include the kennel cough vaccine.
